My name is Derrick and I have the privilege of serving as Lead Pastor of Proclamation Church. I hold a degree in Bible with a minor in counseling and am currently pursuing my masters in Ethics, Theology and Culture. I have been married to my wife Rachel since 2009 and we have two children Tru (2011) and Michael (2013). We absolutely love hanging out with people and eating our way around Nashville. My desire is to see people live out what it means to be part of the family of God by utilizing their gifts and abilities for His glory and the good of others. My hope is that when you come to Proclamation you feel welcomed, encouraged and you leave more in love with Christ.
My name is Kevin Stone. I have been married to my wife Hannah since 2016. We have two daughters, Cora and Ronan. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Ministry from the Baptist College of Florida. I also earned a Masters of Divinity and a Th.M from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. I get to care for Proclamation in numerous ways, but mostly I love helping our staff to accomplish our overall vision. I love construction and buffaloes.
Hello! I’m Michael Vargas, and I am the Student Director at Proclamation Church. I have been serving and leading student ministry in various capacities for 10 years. It is my passion to support students in their personal walk with the Lord and teach them to think biblically. I love camping and all sorts of outdoor adventures, and I occasionally play guitar on the worship team.
I’m Jordan Daniel, and I’ve had the privilege of serving in worship ministry for over 12 years. Over the years, my passion for leading worship and helping others encounter God through music has only grown deeper. I believe worship is more than just a Sunday service—it’s a lifestyle of living with a heart of gratitude and surrender to God. I desire to help people experience the transformative power of God’s presence through worship, creating an environment where His love is felt, His truth is declared, and His people are equipped to live for Him every day.
Hi my name is Abigail Vargas! I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and I am working towards a Master’s in Ministry Leadership at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. I have been active in children’s/youth ministry for 10 years now. I strongly believe in equipping believers to understand theology and the narrative of Scripture no matter the age. I love to cook and bake and go on outdoor adventures!
Benji Majors here. After a decade overseas serving the church as a pastor and non-profit leader, I’m excited to be back in my hometown of Nashville. Prior to joining the staff here, I served the Nashville community as a case manager helping individuals navigate housing, employment, and recovery. Along with 1 Thess. 2:8, I love a bike ride, a hike at Radnor, SATCO, any coffee, the book I’m reading, and the way our house sounds when my family is home.
